Welcome to Carluke Community Sport Hub

Part of the lasting legacy from the Commonwealth Games, Community Sport Hubs are sportscotland’s contribution to the Scottish Government’s 2014 legacy plan. In a joint partnership with South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, the Hub aims are to increase the number of people of all ages participating in sport and physical activity in local communities across Scotland. They also aim to provide information, support and advice on a wide range of sports and physical activities. This will encourage and make it easier for local people to get involved and engage in a more active and healthier lifestyle.

Carluke Community Sport Hub encompasses Carluke High School, Carluke Leisure Centre, the John Cumming Stadium and associated outdoor pitches. The Hub was established in September 2011 and currently has 7 clubs engaged with the hub.

The clubs involved include; basketball, athletics, triathlon, football, running and dance. To find out more about the clubs then please go to our clubs links page.

The Hub’s are support by the Community Sport Hub Officer, Craig Allardice.  For further details contact: craig.allardice@southlanarkshireleisure.co.uk

The Carluke Community Sport Hub, so far has ran first aid and child protection courses for the clubs involved, provided sports development support to all the clubs and helping them through Club SL, South Lanarkshire Leisure and Cultures Club Accreditation Scheme and Positive Coaching Scotland, a programme about creating a positive environment in youth sport. Positive Coaching Scotland is delivered by sportscotland in partnership with Winning Scotland Foundation and local and national partners.
